Pop-up screening of the sci-fi horror classic Aliens, with a social drink and chat afterwards, including popcorn and a limited edition poster.
Wilful Beer is hosting a pop-up screening of Aliens on Wednesday 9 September, bringing James Cameron's 1986 sci-fi horror classic to the big screen in Plymouth. It's a paid event, and the night doesn't end when the credits roll: there's a social drink and a chat afterwards, so you can stick around and talk through the film with everyone else in the room.
If you've never seen it, Aliens picks up decades after Ellen Ripley survived the Nostromo incident. She's sent back out to re-establish contact with a terraforming colony, but instead of a quiet rescue mission, she finds herself battling the Alien Queen and her offspring. It's the one that shifted the series from the claustrophobic horror of the first film into full-blown action territory, and it's a great one to see in a room full of people.
There are a couple of extras included in your ticket, too. You'll get popcorn for the screening, and a limited edition Aliens X Eek! poster from a local creative to take home. Between the film, the drink, and the poster, it's more of a full evening than just a quick trip to the cinema.
