The process is simple: you choose a blank ceramic item and paint it using the studio's pigments with help from the team if needed. Prices depend on the piece you choose to paint. Session prices range from £10 to £50, with small items like teapots or figurines starting at £9, basic mugs or plates costing £16, cereal bowls at £14, and money boxes priced between £15 and £25. Once painted, your items are glazed and fired on-site, taking around 8 working days to be ready for pickup. Standard sessions last about 2 hours.
Besides regular pottery painting, ClayArt offers pottery and drawing classes, private workshops, and therapeutic sessions in care homes for people living with dementia. The studio is also dog-friendly; you can bring your pet in to make clay or plaster paw prints. For every paw print made, the studio donates a portion to the local Woodside Animal Sanctuary.
ClayArt is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (closed on Mondays, except bank holidays).
