Annual Halloween cover show at Bottlerocket Social Hall where local bands play their favorite records in costume, with free admission.
Bottlerocket Social Hall is hosting its annual Halloween Cover Show on Saturday, October 31, in Allentown. The premise is simple: five bands each front as their favorite record, and the crowd is encouraged to turn up in costume. It's a night of cover sets rather than original material, with each act taking on a different name and a different catalog.
The lineup runs through a wide stretch of indie and alternative territory. Chris' Vanity Project is taking on Oasis, Mégane is doing The Smiths, and Short Fictions is covering Neutral Milk Hotel. Aloner will be playing as Radiohead, and Useless is stepping in as Dinosaur Jr. Between the Britpop of Oasis, the jangle of The Smiths, the lo-fi of Neutral Milk Hotel, the art-rock of Radiohead and the loud, fuzzy guitar of Dinosaur Jr., you'll hear five very different records in one night.

The venue also runs a membership program with happy-hour pricing, free shows, guest passes and early access to tickets.
