Emo and alternative show by Pittsburgh band Frame and Mantle, with support from Spider Baby and Moon Destroyer.
Frame and Mantle play Mr. Roboto Project on Friday, October 23, with Spider Baby and Moon Destroyer opening. It's a local bill, with all three bands on the same stage in one night.
Frame and Mantle are a Pittsburgh emo and alternative band, and they describe their sound as pulling from a few different places: emo, post-hardcore, post-rock, indie rock, and alternative. That's a wide spread, and the post-rock and post-hardcore sides are where the louder, more expansive parts of their sound usually live, while the emo and indie rock lean into the melodic side. It's a mix that lets them move between those moods in a single set.
Behind the music are Brian Duncan, Connor Freer, Brian Thompson, and Mark Thompson. They're a Pittsburgh group, so this is a hometown show for them. They'll be sharing the bill with Spider Baby and Moon Destroyer, who both open before they take the stage.
