Rock band Switchfoot performs live on their Forever Now Tour with special guest Anberlin at The Van Buren.
Switchfoot are playing The Van Buren on Sunday, October 18, as part of their Forever Now tour. They're bringing Anberlin along as the special guest, so it's two bills in one night.
Switchfoot is a San Diego rock quintet fronted by Jon Foreman, with his brother Tim Foreman on bass, Chad Butler on drums, and Jerome Fontamillas on guitar. Over ten albums, a GRAMMY Award, and nearly twenty years of touring, they built their following around songs like the 2003 breakthrough The Beautiful Letdown and the GRAMMY-winning Hello Hurricane from 2009.
They took a hiatus in late 2017 and returned in 2019 with Native Tongue, their eleventh record since 1997's The Legend of Chin. That one was shaped by Jon Foreman's focus on pursuing joy and the band's love of surfing, with influences running from Queen and ELO to the Kinks, and guest vocals from M83's Kaela Sinclair on "The Hardest Art."
