An adults-only puppet parody of Stephen King's horror novel IT, featuring killer clowns and horror movie chaos, performed by the All Puppet Players.
All Puppet Players are bringing PuppIT back to Playhouse On The Park starting Thursday, October 15. It's an adults-only puppet parody of Stephen King's IT, and it's returning after a run that saw multiple sold-out performances and what the company calls one of the strangest audience experiences they've unleashed on Phoenix.
The show follows the Losers Club as they face Pennywise, the shape-shifting clown, in the sewers beneath Derry. It's a puppet version of the story, and the adults-only tag means it's not for kids. Along with the main run, the 'Clowns Only Night' is making a comeback, tooβthe night where the audience shows up in full clown gear to add to the nightmare.
There are eight performances in total, spread across two weekends. The first four run Thursday, Oct 15, Friday, Oct 16, and Saturday, Oct 17, all at 7:30 PM, with a 5:30 PM matinee on Sunday, Oct 18. The second set follows the next week: Wednesday, Oct 21, Thursday, Oct 22, Friday, Oct 23, and Saturday, Oct 24, all at 7:30 PM. If you're leaning toward the 'Clowns Only Night,' you'll want to check the schedule and pick your spot.
