Preseason NBA basketball game between the Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz at the Mortgage Matchup Center.
The Phoenix Suns take on the Utah Jazz at the Mortgage Matchup Center on Friday, October 16, 2026. It's a preseason basketball game, so it's one of those early-season matchups where the regular season hasn't quite kicked in yet. The game tips off at 7 PM, and the venue is at 201 E. Jefferson St. in downtown Phoenix.
Since it's preseason, the focus is more on the process than the standings. The game is framed as more than just a matchup, with thrilling plays and fan activities expected around the court. It's a good chance to see the Suns in action before the regular season schedule takes over and every single game starts counting toward the playoffs.
If you're planning to head in, there are a few practical things to keep in mind. Doors open 120 minutes before the scheduled start time, so you've got plenty of room to get settled before the 7 PM tip. Tickets are available through the Mortgage Matchup Center Box Office and are mobile delivery only—there are no printed paper tickets, so you'll need your phone ready at the gate. On-site parking exceeds 700 spaces, which should make getting in and out a bit easier than usual for a downtown game.
