Grupo Recluta

Grupo Recluta play Classico Phoenix on Saturday, October 17, with Banda La Excepcional joining them on the bill. It's a regional Mexican night in the heart of Phoenix, and if you've been following the scene, you know exactly where they fit in.

Grupo Recluta is a Sinaloan group that formed in October 2014 in Mexicali, Baja California. The lineup consists of Manuel, Mauricio, Daniel, Rafael, Fernando, and Luis. They've built their following on a handful of songs that have racked up more than 300 million streams: "Hablando Claro," "La Escalera," "De Boca en Boca," and "Se Fue La Pantera." Their discography runs through Plata o Plomo (2015), Aguila (2016), Sello, De Boca en Boca (2018), Presente, and La Escalera (2019). While they've made their name playing corridos, the heartbreak song "Me Equivoqué" added another dimension to their sound, and they've collaborated with Luis R. Conriquez, Grupo Marca Registrado, Enigma Norteño, Grupo Codiciado, and more recently, Grupo Firme. Manuel Rodelo, the group's leader and main vocalist, wrote "Hablando Claro" and "Se Fue La Pantera."

On the night, they'll be sharing the stage with Banda La Excepcional, so you'll get two acts in one go. The show starts at 10 PM at Classico Phoenix, 5030 W McDowell Rd, and tickets are $56. One thing to keep in mind: the night is 21+.
