Chicago artist Cacucciolo plays 'What Could Be' live at Casa Moreno Nightclub.
Cacucciolo is playing What Could Be live at Casa Moreno Nightclub on Thursday, October 22. It's a single-artist bill, so the whole night is built around one name.
If you're not familiar with the work, Cacucciolo is a Chicago artist whose music pulls from a few different places at once. The sound spans ambient, indie, and hip hop, and What Could Be sits right in the middle of that. It's the kind of record that doesn't stick to one lane, and hearing it live gives you a chance to see how those different influences—the atmospheric textures of ambient, the song-focused side of indie, and the rhythmic lean of hip hop—actually fit together in a room.
Coming from Chicago, Cacucciolo brings that particular Midwest sensibility to the set. The work is as much about the space between the notes as it is about the notes themselves, and What Could Be is the specific piece being brought to the stage here. It's a live performance of that work, so you'll be hearing the record played through from start to finish rather than a mix of different eras.
