Hip-hop collective Basement performs with Momma, Big Boy and Febuary at The Van Buren, supporting their new album 'WIRED'.
Basement play The Van Buren on Monday, October 19, as part of their 2026 North American tour. They're sharing the bill with Momma, February, and Big Boy.
If you're not familiar with them, the name is a bit of a literal one. Basement started as a group of friends who met in a basement to rap until the early hours. Those freestyle sessions grew into a collective that stages its own shows in Brussels and makes music drawing on trap, grime, and West Coast sounds, in the lineage of artists like Laylow, Alpha Wann, and Yvnnis. Their first mixtape, Basement Mixtape Vol. 1, was an eclectic affair that took them to venues like Ancienne Belgique Club, the Delta Festival, and the Festival d'Expression Urbaine (FEU) before they followed it up with the project REBOOT.
This tour is built around their first album in eight years, WIRED. They've already shared two songs from it, and these dates are the first time they're bringing the new material across North America. With Momma, February, and Big Boy on the bill, it's a full night of music rather than just a single set.
