The Arizona Fall League is back for its 34th season, and it's already well underway. The schedule runs from Saturday, October 3 to Saturday, November 14, so there's still plenty of baseball left to catch across the Valley before the league wraps up in mid-November.

Six teams make up the league, each pulling talent from a group of MLB organizations. The Glendale Desert Dogs take players from the Braves, Dodgers, Marlins, Pirates and White Sox; the Mesa Solar Sox from the Angels, Athletics, Blue Jays, Cubs and Red Sox; the Peoria Javelinas from the Cardinals, Mariners, Orioles, Padres and Reds; the Salt River Rafters from the Diamondbacks, Nationals, Rockies, Twins and Yankees; the Scottsdale Scorpions from the Astros, Brewers, Giants, Rays and Tigers; and the Surprise Saguaros from the Guardians, Mets, Phillies, Rangers, Royals and Orioles. The Saguaros are the team to beat, coming in as the defending 2025 champions.
If you're looking for names to watch, the league is full of them. Kevin McGonigle, the Detroit Tigers' 2025 AFL MVP, made his MLB debut on March 26, 2026. Other top prospects include Eduardo Quintero in Glendale, Arjun Nimmala in Mesa, Ike Irish in Peoria, Jarlin Susana with Salt River, Bryce Rainer in Scottsdale, and Sebastian Walcott and 17-year-old Angeibel Gomez both with Surprise. It's the kind of league where you get to see players before they become household names.
Beyond the games themselves, there's a family-friendly side to the schedule. Autograph Thursdays and Freebie Fridays are regular fixtures, and you'll find double-headers and triple-headers scattered across the Valley and the state. The big events come toward the end: the Home Run Derby is set for Saturday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Salt River Fields, followed by the Fall Stars Game on Sunday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m., also at Salt River Fields. The postseason then moves to Sloan Park for the quarterfinals on Thursday, November 12, before the semifinals and the AFL Championship game both land at the Peoria Sports Complex on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14.
Tickets are easy on the wallet. A single game is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors 60 and over and youth 11 to 17, and free for children 10 and under with an adult. Surprise residents can shave $2 off those adult and senior/youth prices with the promo code SURAFL26. If you'd rather commit for the season, passes are $160 for adults, $120 for seniors and $31 for the Kids Club for children 10 and under. The Surprise Saguaros, in particular, have 15 home games scheduled between October 4 and November 10, so there's plenty of baseball to catch in the West Valley.
One of the best things about the AFL is how low-key it is. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, and you don't have to be at the park to follow along — every game is streamed on the Arizona Fall League website, with the Fall Stars Game carried live on MLB Network. Whether you're a diehard baseball fan or just looking for an affordable autumn outing, it's a great way to spend a few evenings watching the next generation of stars work their way up.
