Kensington street fair celebrating outsider art with wrestling, roller circus, clown arts, live music, film screenings and food.
Weirdo Fest returns to Philadelphia Brewing Company on Saturday, October 17, from 2 PM to 10 PM. It's a Kensington street fair that's been running since 2019, centered in East Kensington and the Riverwards, and it's back after taking last year off.
The festival describes itself as a celebration of outsider art and less traditional forms of culture, with a mission to make less widely seen art more accessible and give unconventional ideas a public space. The day is built around a mix of live performance and interactive art: AWFUL Wrestling, Roller Circus, and clown arts by Idiot Box; film programming by Screwball Screenings; and ArcheDream for Humankind. The music side runs through YAM ON! with Lard Dog & The Band of Shy, Cheri & The Whipped Cream, Diaatom, Luminous Abstract, Position, and Nomaster.

Beyond the stage, there's food and drink available for purchase throughout the day, including craft brews from Philadelphia Brewing Company and ramen and rolls from Tokio Sushi. The whole thing is free to attend, so you can drop in for a few hours or hang out for the full stretch from 2 PM to 10 PM. You'll find it at 2440 Frankford Ave in East Kensington.
