Weekly interactive storytime with read-aloud books, songs and crafts for children aged 2 to 5 and their families.
Twilight Tales Family Story Time is back at the Lucien E. Blackwell West Philadelphia Regional Library on Monday, October 26, at 5 PM. It's part of the Free Library of Philadelphia's weekly storytime series, which runs every Monday at the Blackwell branch, so if you can't make this one, there's another session the following week.
The hour is built for children aged 2 to 5 and their families and caregivers. It's an interactive session, not a sit-still-and-listen kind of thing, and it pulls together three different activities: read-aloud books, songs, and crafts. The books are read out loud, the songs get everyone moving, and the crafts give the kids something to make and take home. Because it's interactive, the kids are encouraged to participate rather than just watch, which usually works better for that 2-to-5 age range when they've got a lot of energy to burn.
Since it's a weekly series, it's a good one to drop into whenever it fits your schedule. If you're in West Philly and looking for a low-key way to spend a Monday afternoon with the little ones, this is a reliable option. It's free and open to the public, so you don't need to book aheadβjust show up with your kids.
