A live shadowcast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with audience participation, celebrating the legacy of Tim Curry and Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
Transylvanian Nipple Productions is bringing The Rocky Horror Picture Show to the main stage at City Winery Philadelphia on October 30, 2026. It's part of a three-night run that also hits October 28 and 31, so you've got a few dates to choose from if you're planning your Halloween weekend around it.
If you've never seen a shadowcast, here's the gist: the movie plays on the screen, and a live cast performs the whole thing in front of it, acting out the scenes and singing along in real time. It's a double feature in one—the film and the live performance happening together. This particular run is billed as the 51st anniversary of the movie, and it pairs the film with that live shadowcast, interactive fun, and plenty of audience participation. If you're new to the tradition, that's the part where the crowd shouts back at the screen and joins in on the chaos.
This one is a tribute to Tim Curry and the character he made legendary, Dr. Frank-N-Furter. The cast behind it is Transylvanian Nipple Productions, a Philadelphia-based Rocky Horror shadowcast that's been doing this since 1997. They've played all over the region—the Ritz Five, Monster-Mania Convention, Ritz Theatres, TLA, Hard Rock Casino, and the Levoy Theatre—so they've got nearly three decades of this specific show under their belt.
