Library storytime session with stories, rhymes and fingerplays for children ages 1 to 3.
Toddler Storytime is at the Thomas F. Donatucci, Sr. Library on Wednesday, October 21, starting at 11 AM. It's part of the Free Library of Philadelphia's Storytimes series, which runs across branches throughout the city, so if you're in the neighborhood on a Wednesday morning, it's an easy one to drop into.
The session is built around stories, rhymes, and fingerplaysโthe kind of rhythmic, repetitive reading and movement that toddlers usually lock onto. It's designed for children ages 1 to 3, though it's open to all, so it works whether you've got a one-year-old just starting to follow along or a three-year-old who's already talking back to the books. The rhymes and fingerplays are the part that really gets the little ones involved, giving them something to do with their hands while they listen.
