Author Brandon Swanson presents his book 'The Missing' at Parkway Central Library.
Brandon Swanson is coming to the Parkway Central Library on Friday, November 20, for a presentation on The Missing. It's a morning event, starting at 10 AM, so it's one of those things you can catch before the rest of your day really gets moving.
Swanson is the sole name on the bill, and the session is built around The Missing, the project he's here to talk about. The presentation is hosted by the library, which puts it in a different kind of room than a club or a theater—more of a conversation than a performance. If you've followed his work, this is a chance to hear him walk through the material and the thinking behind it.
For those who haven't crossed paths with him yet, Swanson is a songwriter and musician who's been working in the city's scene for a while. The Missing is the focus here, and the presentation is his way of bringing the project to a live audience. It's a straightforward setup: Swanson, the work, and the room.
