Indie rock band The Kilans from Salt Lake City play PhilaMOCA with support from Jade Street.
The Kilans play PhilaMOCA on Saturday, November 14, with Jade Street opening. It's a stop on the tour for their debut album, Could You Keep It Dark, which comes out October 23 on Mom and Pop Records. The record is anchored by the singles "Cherry, Please" and "Oliver," and this show is one of the first chances to hear it live.
If you haven't come across them yet, The Kilans are an indie rock band from Salt Lake City. They describe their sound as raw, with kinetic guitars and electrifying live shows. The group formed in 2023 when Jack Ongman, on vocals and rhythm guitar, and Jacob Shultz, on lead guitar, met while skateboarding in college and started jamming in basement sessions. Cooper Brezoff on bass and David Wiseman on drums rounded out the lineup later. Just five months after they got together, they put out their debut single "Curly," followed by "Why Is It Light Out?"
