Halloween takeover by Craftsman Row Saloon with a haunted forest, hanging spirits, specialty cocktails and a 20-foot sandworm.
Craftsman Row Saloon is back with its annual Halloween takeover, The Enchanted Nightmare, running through October 31 at 112 S 8th Street in Old City. This is the saloon's fifth year doing this, a tradition that started when siblings George and Vasiliki Tsiouris took over the South 8th Street space. The bar has been a working spot for a centuryโmost recently known as Coco'sโand they've kept the original bar facade and the nameplates of old regulars on the wall.
They say the pop-up grows every year, and this one is the most elaborate yet. The new additions are hard to miss: a handcrafted sandworm stretching more than 20 feet and a custom stormy cloud hanging over the bar. You walk through a haunted forest of weeping willows and wooden branches, past hanging spirits, hay bales, pumpkins, and caution tape, with Jack and Sally presiding over the scene. From there, you pass a fortune-telling banquette with a mural made entirely of tarot cards, overhead crystals, and a crystal ball, before heading into a back area where the night's favorite scary movies and The Nightmare Before Christmas come to life.

Along with the decor, they're serving up specialty cocktails to match the theme. If you've been before, you know the drill: the whole place transforms for the month, so it's a different experience depending on when you drop in. It runs through October 31, so you've got until Halloween night to catch it at Craftsman Row Saloon, 112 S 8th Street in Old City.
