A festival celebrating Filipino American History Month with authentic Filipino cuisine, entertainment and a marketplace of local vendors, part of the PECO Multicultural Series.
Taste of the Philippines comes to Cherry Street Pier on Saturday, October 24, from 11 AM to 5 PM. It's a day built around Filipino food and community, and it's part of the PECO Multicultural Series.
The festival is held to celebrate Filipino American History Month, and the whole thing centers on Filipino heritage. The food is the main draw—authentic Filipino cuisine served up throughout the day. Alongside that, there's live entertainment and a marketplace with local vendors, so you can eat, listen, and browse all in one spot. It's open to everyone, and it runs rain or shine, so you don't have to worry about the weather keeping you away.
If you're not already familiar, Filipino American History Month is observed every October to recognize the contributions of Filipinos to American history and culture. This event is one way the city marks the month, bringing the community together around food and music. The marketplace adds another layer, with local vendors selling their work alongside the food and performances.
