Free arts and crafts session for children aged 2 and up to make their own slime monster, led by Meheaad Behar of Thomas Jefferson University.
Spooky Slime Time is coming to the Roxborough Library on Friday, October 23, at 3:30 PM. It's a hands-on arts and crafts session where kids get to build their own slime monster, a holiday-themed project that works best for ages two and up. If you've got a little one who loves getting their hands messy, this is exactly the kind of thing they'll want to do.
The whole thing is led by Meheaad Behar from Thomas Jefferson University. Having someone from the university running the session adds a nice touch, and since it's a hands-on craft, the kids are doing the work themselves rather than just watching a demonstration. The focus is on building a slime monster, so they'll be mixing, stretching, and shaping their own creation from start to finish. It's the kind of activity that keeps them occupied and gives them something to take home when they're done.
Because it's geared toward ages two and up, it's a good fit for toddlers and elementary-aged kids alike. The slime monster theme fits right into the October mood, and since it's a craft, it's as much about the process of making it as it is about the finished product. If your kid is the type who likes to experiment with textures and colors, they'll be right at home here.
