Overnight paranormal investigation of the haunted Revolutionary War fortress Fort Mifflin, with access to buildings and areas not normally open to the public.
Fort Mifflin is hosting Sleep with the Ghosts on Saturday, October 24, an overnight paranormal investigation that runs through to Sunday, October 25. The fort is a National Historic Landmark on the Delaware, a Revolutionary War fortress that's widely regarded as one of the most haunted sites in the country. This is the annual overnight event, and it's built for experienced investigators rather than casual tourists: the gates lock at 7 PM, and the group works through the night until 6 AM. Actual sleep is optional—you can crash in dormitory-style quarters or bring your own tent.
Over the course of the night, you'll get inside heated and unheated buildings, outdoor areas, and parts of the fort that aren't normally open to the public. There's also a fire pit gathering to compare evidence and take in the site's history, myths, and legends. You'll be working with local team G.Host Official, who lead the investigation.
If you're not quite ready for an all-nighter, the fort also runs open investigation evenings for newcomers and candlelight ghost tours with no actors and no decorations. But this one is the full deal—locked in from dusk till dawn.
