Road race themed around Rocky Balboa with a 5K, a 10 Mile and a 13.1 Italian Stallion Challenge half marathon at the Philadelphia Art Museum.
The Rocky Run returns to the Philadelphia Art Museum on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Presented by Athletifreak, it's a road race built around the Rocky Balboa theme, and it's one of those big Philadelphia mornings that draws around 40,000 runners to the heart of the city. The start and finish are at the museum, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, so you'll be running right through the neighborhood that inspired the movies.
There are three distances to choose from. The 5K is the shortest, followed by the 10 Mile. Then there's the 13.1 Italian Stallion Challenge, which combines the two shorter races into a half marathon. They pitch the Challenge as the ultimate test of the weekend, and if you complete all three, you walk away with three finisher medals. Every finisher gets a finisher shirt, and the race runs rain or shine, so you'll be out there regardless of the weather. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, which is worth keeping in mind if you're planning to sign up closer to the date.
There's also a way to run for free: if you raise $350 for Special Olympics, you get a free entry. It's a good option if you're already planning to run and want to put your miles toward a cause.
