Michael Jackson dance party with DJ Kira Bandan, a costume contest and a free themed photo booth at City Winery Philadelphia.
Riot Nerd is bringing a Michael Jackson dance party to The Loft at City Winery on Friday, October 23, with DJ Kira Bandan on the decks. It's a themed night, and the music stays centered on MJ, so you'll be dancing to the catalog from start to finish.
Beyond the music, there's a costume contest and a free themed photo booth open until 10 PM. Costumes are encouraged, but you don't have to wear one to come along. If you do, you'll have a few hours to get your photos in before the booth closes, and the contest gives you a reason to put some effort into the look.
The Loft at City Winery is in the Fashion District at 990 Filbert St, and it's an intimate live-music venue known for its 'dinner and a show' experience: guests can have full dinner service and award-winning wines while watching the performance in a seated, close-up setting. Over the years it's hosted artists and comedians like Wayne Newton, Musiq Soulchild, Lyle Lovett, Patton Oswalt, Lalah Hathaway, George Lopez, and Robert Glasper. The room offers reserved seating and is easy to reach by car, public transit, and rideshare.
