Resume Review & Professional Styling with Dress for Success

Dress for Success Greater Philadelphia is holding a resume review and professional styling session at the Northeast Regional Library on Thursday, October 22, starting at 1:30 PM. It's a first-come, first-served setup, so if you're planning to go, it pays to get there early.

The session is built around two things that usually go hand-in-hand when you're looking for work: your resume and how you present yourself. You'll get one-on-one job assistance from experienced professionals who can look over your resume and help you tighten it up, and you'll get a professional styling session to help you figure out what to wear for an interview. Both parts happen in the same afternoon, so you can walk out with a better resume and a better sense of how to dress for the job you're after.

This isn't a one-off. These sessions run in partnership with Dress for Success Greater Philadelphia and are held on the third and fourth Thursdays of each month at the Northeast Regional Library. If you can't make this one, there's another coming later in the month.

And if you're looking to update your professional image beyond the clothes, the library also runs free professional headshots every third Tuesday of the month from October 2026 through June 2027. Photographer Sherod Smallman takes the photos to help you refresh your resume, elevate a small business, or update your LinkedIn profile. No appointment is needed, and the photo is delivered by email within two weeks. Between that and the styling sessions, you can get your resume, your look, and your headshot all sorted in the same neighborhood. The resume and styling session is Thursday, October 22, at 1:30 PM at the Northeast Regional Library, 2228 Cottman Avenue (Cottman Ave. & Oakland St.), Philadelphia, PA 19149.
