Infant storytime session with songs, puppets, rhythms and books for children aged two and under, followed by playtime.
Read, Baby, Read is back at Logan Library on Tuesday, October 27, at 11:30 AM. It's an infant storytime session, and the title tells you exactly who it's for: the youngest library visitors. The whole thing is built around adults singing and reading to the children, with songs, puppets, rhythms, and books making up the bulk of the session. It's designed for children aged two and under, and siblings are welcome, so it works if you've got a toddler and an older child in tow.
One thing that sets this apart from a standard story hour is what happens after the reading. There's a playtime session immediately following the storytime, which gives the kids a chance to move around and play once the books are closed. It's a good way to transition from listening to doing, and it means you can stay for the whole thing without having to rush out the moment the last page is turned.
