Ravens on the Rooftop

The Raven Society is taking over the rooftop terrace of the Parkway Central Library on Thursday, October 29, for a Halloween party called Ravens on the Rooftop. They describe themselves as Philadelphia's favorite literacy lovers and curiosity connoisseurs, and the whole night is built around the Free Library of Philadelphia's mission to advance literacy, guide learning and inspire curiosity for Philadelphians of all ages.

Literary-themed costumes are encouraged, and the backdrop is a view over the city skyline. The evening is built around light bites, drinks, music and festive activities. It's a party on the roof of one of the city's most recognizable libraries, so the literary angle fits the setting. If you've got a favorite book character you've been wanting to dress as, this is a good excuse to finally do it.

The party runs from 6 PM to 8:30 PM, and it's strictly for over-21s. That's the main thing to keep in mind before you head over to the Parkway Central Library rooftop terrace.
