Week-long celebration of plant-based food at participating restaurants and pop-ups across Philadelphia, raising funds for local non-profits.
Philly Vegan Restaurant Week runs from October 10 to 17, 2026, with participating restaurants and pop-ups across Philadelphia. It's a week that puts the city's plant-based scene on display, and it's not just for vegans — omnivorous restaurants join in too, so you can find vegan options at places that usually serve meat. The goal is to make plant-based food easier to find, cut down on animal consumption, and support the local restaurant community.
One of the things that sets this apart from a typical food festival is how it's funded. Instead of charging registration fees to the restaurants and caterers that sign up, the organizers ask them to donate what they can to selected non-profits. In past editions, that money has gone to Juntos, a community-led Latine immigrant organization in South Philadelphia, as well as Liberation Farm, Philly Food Rescue, Peace Advocacy Network, and Misfit Manor. It's a way for the city's food scene to give something back to the community it's part of.

The week also plays into Philadelphia's reputation as a plant-based hub. Earlier this year, PETA named the city the second-most vegan-friendly city in the U.S., so there's already a strong foundation of vegan-friendly spots to build on. Whether you're a lifelong vegan or just looking to eat plant-based for a few days, it's a good excuse to try something new. The event runs from October 10 to 17, 2026, across participating restaurants and pop-ups throughout the city.
