Third annual coffee festival with dozens of specialty roasters, tastings, live music and food.
Philly Coffee Festival returns to the 23rd Street Armory on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18. This is its third year, and the setup is the same as before: dozens of specialty roasters and coffee shops from around the city gathered under one roof for a weekend dedicated to Philadelphia's coffee culture.
The main draw is the tasting. You'll find roasters like Pilgrim, Evermore, and Ellis Coffee on the floor, along with local food vendors and live music playing throughout. The organizers describe it as an immersive experience, and that's a fair way to put itβyou can move from one roaster to the next, sampling different beans and flavor profiles side by side, with local snacks and a soundtrack of bands from across the city filling in the gaps.
Saturday is split into sessions. Early Admission runs from 9 AM to 10 AM, followed by General Admission from 10 AM to 1 PM. There's a break, then another General Admission session from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. All-day passes cover both Saturday sessions, so you can stay inside during the break. Sunday is open all day. If you're coming with kids, those under 13 don't need a ticket, though they have to be accompanied by an adult. The festival also encourages guests to bring their own reusable mug.
