Drop-in, bi-weekly Saturday workshop for teens and adults to explore paper crafts such as zines, scrapbooking and origami, with materials provided.
The Paper Craft Club is back at the Northeast Regional Library on Saturday, October 17, at 11 AM. It's a hands-on workshop that runs bi-weekly on Saturdays at Free Library of Philadelphia branches, open to teens and adults. This particular session is part of a series that's been going since May 23, 2026, so if you've missed a few, there's plenty more to come.
Inside, you'll work through a range of paper crafts, including zines, scrapbooking, and origami. The sessions are run as drop-in workshops, and the library provides the materials, so you don't need to bring anything to get started. That said, makers are welcome to bring their own 'junk' for junk journaling or scrapbooking—the kind of scraps, clippings, and odd bits of paper that usually end up in a drawer. If you've got a stash of things you've been saving for a project, this is a good time to actually use them.
Because it's a drop-in format, you can just show up and start making. It's open to both teens and adults, so it's as much a place to hang out and work alongside other people as it is to walk away with something finished. The library handles the supplies, and the focus is on the process of making rather than any one specific project.

The session is free and open to teens and adults, and it's held at the Northeast Regional Library, 2228 Cottman Avenue (Cottman Ave. & Oakland St.), Philadelphia, PA 19149. Space is limited and places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you're planning to go, it's worth arriving a bit early to make sure you get a spot.
