Underground art show with live music from Sophie Truax and Sasha Cee at Underground Arts.
Sophie Truax headlines Pancakes & Booze: Underground Art Show at Underground Arts on Saturday, October 24. It's a night that puts live music alongside an art show, with Truax sharing the bill with Sasha Cee. Both are scheduled to play, so you'll get two sets of music in one evening.
Underground Arts is at 1200 Callowhill St in Spring Garden, a 650-capacity club that's been a fixture of the city's music and art community for more than a decade. It started as a vision to turn the basement of the Wolf Building, at the corner of 12th and Callowhill, into an inclusive space for free artistic expression of all kinds, and since then it's become a home for local and nationally touring live music acts. That history fits the format of the night: a show that brings together music and art under one roof.
Truax takes the main spot, with Sasha Cee on the lineup as well. The two sets make up the musical side of the evening, while the art show runs alongside them. It's a Saturday night in the neighborhood, so it's an easy one to build a whole evening around if you're already in the area.
