Halloween-themed anime meetup with cosplay, food trucks, vendors, a lip sync contest, DJ sets and a stamp rally.
Otakuween takes over Cherry Street Pier on Saturday, October 31, from 4 PM to 8 PM. It's a Halloween-themed meetup for anime and otaku fans run by Anime Social Nexus, a four-hour in-person gathering where you're invited to show off a costume, meet new people, take photos and discover local creators.
Costumes are encouraged but not required. You can turn up as your favorite anime, manga, game, Vocaloid, VTuber or pop-culture character, or just in your best Halloween look. The night is built around food trucks and vendors selling anime goods and collectibles, a stamp rally, a high-energy lip sync contest, DJ sets and cosplay photo opportunities. The soundtrack ranges from anime and J-pop to K-pop, Vocaloid, gaming and Halloween-inspired music.

It's a four-hour window on Halloween night, so you can drop in, hang out for a bit, and still have the rest of your evening for other plans. The venue is Cherry Street Pier, 121 North Christopher Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
