Second edition of Tattooed Mom's international wheatpaste art show featuring over 200 artists from 15 countries, with music and an interactive wall.
Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue 2 opens at Tattooed Mom on Friday, October 16, and runs through Saturday, October 17. It's the second edition of the venue's international wheatpaste art show, and it's billed as Philadelphia's only show of its kind, produced entirely by artists. The first edition drew more than 200 artists from over 15 countries, and this one keeps that same international reach. The show takes over the venue's second floor, covering the walls, corners, ceilings, doors, and floors in hundreds of artist-submitted designs, with first-timers hanging side by side with seasoned veterans.
Among the artists on display are @painted_thingies, @d7606art, @chrisrwk, @sean9lugo, @affirmativeyouth, @kellycampanile, and @skulz_mtl, with music provided by @godfieri_. The show is co-produced by the local wheatpaste crew Doomed Future and Tattooed Mom, with support from the Step Outside Team. It's the kind of event the wheatpaste community uses to meet, exchange ideas, and share the art form, so expect to see a lot of the people who actually make this stuff.
Beyond the walls, there are a few things to do while you're there. Doomed Future designed exclusive show tees and stickers, and the bar is serving 'The Paste Up' cocktail. There's also an interactive wall where you can add your own paste-ups, so you don't have to just look—you can leave something behind. The whole thing is free to enter.
