Family storytime session with stories, songs, rhymes and movement for children aged seven and under and their caregivers.
Music and Movement Storytime is back at the Walnut Street West Library on Saturday, October 24. It's a family session that mixes stories, songs, rhymes and movement, all centered around music. The library describes it as a way to celebrate everything music, and it's aimed at children seven and under and their caregivers.
If you've got a little one who can't sit still, this is the kind of thing they're built for. Instead of just listening to a story, the kids get to move along with it, and the songs and rhymes keep things shifting so they don't lose interest. It's a family session, so you're meant to be right there with them, and it's designed for the youngest crowd—seven and under—which means it's a good spot to bring a toddler or a preschooler who's still figuring out how to be in a library.
The session is part of the library's Storytimes series, which sits inside their Community Events and Family Programs. It's not a one-off, either; the series continues on Saturdays at 10:30 AM on November 14, December 12 and December 19. If you can't make this one, you've got three more dates to choose from through the end of the year.
