Mister John's 4th Annual Giant Halloween Block Party

Mister John's Music is hosting its 4th Annual Giant Halloween Block Party on Saturday, October 24, at 8th & Fulton in Philadelphia. It's a full-block neighborhood affair that's grown since it started, and this year it's back for its fourth edition. The party is open to all ages, so it works as a family outing as much as a neighborhood hang.

For the four hours it runs, the block fills up with live music, a costume contest, raffle prizes, and arts and crafts. The activities are aimed as much at tiny monsters as at grown-ups, so you can bring the kids along without worrying about whether there's something for them to do. The costume contest is a central part of the day, and the raffle adds another layer to the mix.

Mister John's isn't doing this alone. They've teamed up with local neighbors Butcher Sew Shop, Coco Academy, and Di Bruno Bros. to help pull the whole thing together. It's a collaborative effort between a few businesses on the block, and that neighborhood feel is a big part of why it's grown into a full-block event over the years.

The party runs from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, October 24, at 8th & Fulton, with Mister John's Music based at The School, 761 S 8th St, 19147. Admission is free.
