An after-hours wellness series featuring yoga, meditation, sound bath, tai chi and artmaking during the museum's First Wednesdays, with a botanical bar and wellness marketplace.
Mind & Mood Recharge returns to the Penn Museum this winter, running on First Wednesdays from November 4, 2026, through April 7. It's the museum's after-hours wellness series, now in its third year, and it turns the galleries and gardens into a sanctuary for self-care. The whole thing is built around multi-sensory moments of recharge led by local practitioners of yoga, meditation, and the expressive arts—and you don't need any prior experience to join in.
Depending on the night, you'll find yoga, meditation, sound baths, tai chi, and artmaking. The sessions are led by local practitioners, so it's a good way to get into these things without having to commit to a full studio membership. Alongside the sessions, there's a botanical bar serving herb-infused cocktails and mocktails, and a wellness marketplace featuring local small businesses. The series is part of the museum's First Wednesdays, a monthly rotation of activities that runs through the winter and spring.
