Stand-up show by Iranian-American comedian Maz Jobrani at Punch Line Philly.
Maz Jobrani is playing Punch Line Philly on Friday, October 24, 2026, at 7 PM. He's an Iranian-American comedian and actor born in Tehran, and his stand-up is built around observational humor and satire that often takes aim at cultural stereotypes. He was a founding member of the Axis of Evil comedy tour, and he's put out several specials, including the Netflix original Immigrant and THE BIRDS AND THE BEES, which you can stream on YouTube.
If you recognize the name but can't quite place the face, it's probably from his acting. He played Fawz on the CBS comedy SUPERIOR DONUTS and has popped up in GREY'S ANATOMY, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, BETTER OFF TED, LAST MAN STANDING, and SHAMELESS. He's also been a regular guest on THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT and THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN.
Beyond the TV work, he starred as the title character in the award-winning indie comedy JIMMY VESTVOOD: AMERIKAN HERO, which he co-wrote and co-produced. He's co-starred in films like Sydney Pollack's THE INTERPRETER, Disney's DESCENDANTS, and Ice Cube's FRIDAY AFTER NEXT. He's also an LA Times best-selling author and has delivered TED Talks.
