A family-friendly outdoor festival with live music, food trucks, vendor markets, carnival games and a Mac n' Cheese Crawl.
Manayunk Fall Fest takes over Main Street on Saturday, October 17, from 11 AM to 4 PM. It's the second annual edition of the festival, put on by the Manayunk Development Corporation, and it turns the neighborhood's historic main drag into a family-friendly outdoor party. Around 50 local vendors and artisan makers line the route, with food trucks, carnival games, face painting, caricatures, and a Fall Fest photobooth mixed in. Live music runs across two stages throughout the day.
The Cotton Street Stage handles the bulk of the music: Street Beans kicks things off at 11 AM, followed by Kat Rivers and the Second Sight at 12:15, Rowdy Cowboys at 1:30, a line dancing demonstration at 3 PM, and Chris Rafter closing out at 3:30. Over on the Grape Street Stage, Huston West plays at 12 PM and Slim Chance takes over at 2:30. Beyond the music, there are glassblowing demonstrations from Leventhal Glass, a pop-up pumpkin patch, a kids' vendor market on Venice Island, and a live adoption event from the Pennsylvania SPCA.
Running alongside the festival is the Mac n' Cheese Crawl, where 18 Manayunk restaurants each serve their own spin on the comfort food. Julia Caterino, the Manayunk Development Corporation's Branding & Digital Marketing Manager, describes the festival as "the perfect way to celebrate fall in the city," bringing together the borough's small businesses, culinary talent, and community. If you're around for the whole weekend, the Lincoln Mill Haunted House is also back for its fifth season, with more than 40 live scare actors, elaborate sets, animatronics, and special effects.

Admission to the festival is free, though the Mac n' Cheese Crawl costs $20 per person. Main Street will be closed between Cotton Street, Grape Street, and Roxborough Avenue for the day, so keep that in mind if you're driving in. The festival runs from 11 AM to 4 PM.
