Drop-in Magic the Gathering night for teens and adults to learn the rules and build decks, with cards provided by Magic Kids.
Roxborough Library is hosting a Magic the Gathering night on Monday, October 26, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. It's a drop-in session open to teens and adults, and it's free to attend. Whether you've been playing for years or you've never even held a card, there's a place for you here.
If you're new to the game, this is a low-stakes way to get in. You can learn the basic rules from scratch and build your competence without having to dive into a rulebook on your own. If you're already a veteran, you can just show up and play. The night is designed to work for both: beginners get a hand with the fundamentals, and experienced players get a chance to put their decks to the test.
One of the best parts is that you don't need to own a single card to participate. You're welcome to bring your own deck if you've got one you're proud of, but if you don't, you can build one right there with cards provided by Magic Kids. The library also has a limited supply of free cards to go around, and they're running raffles for MTG merchandise throughout the evening, so you might walk away with a few things for your collection.

It's a casual, drop-in setup, so you can swing by whenever you can during the window. The library is at 6245 Ridge Avenue, at the corner of Ridge and Hermitage in Roxborough, and the whole thing is free.
