Lauren Ash, best known for her roles in Superstore and Not Dead Yet, performs her pop-punk music backed by The Droogettes at Kung Fu Necktie.
Lauren Ash plays Kung Fu Necktie in Fishtown on Thursday, October 15, with The Droogettes opening. You probably know her as Dina from Superstore or Lexi from Not Dead Yet, but this is her first tour on the road backed by a full band.
The set comes from her debut pop-punk album, Call Me When You Get This, which came out in September 2025. She's described the record as a gift to her younger self, something she started after playing a concert for her own 40th birthday. Music Life Magazine reported it grew out of a breakup on September 11, 2024. The lead single, "Now I Know," hit No. 1 on the Canadian iTunes rock chart and No. 5 on Billboard's Alternative Download Chart, and "Whiplash" earned a Hollywood Independent Music Award nomination for Best Rock/Pop Song. Before this tour, she's headlined Los Angeles rooms like the Viper Room and Whisky A Go Go and played sold-out runs in the UK and Canada.
Opening the night are The Droogettes, a Philadelphia all-female five-piece that's been playing since 2013. They recently returned from a six-year hiatus with a sound they call "Sugar Oi!"
