A Krampusnacht celebration fronted by Philadelphia performer CJ Kringle at Fort Mifflin.
Krampusnacht at Fort Mifflin lands at Fort Mifflin on Saturday, December 5, from 5:30 to 10:00 PM. If you're not familiar with the tradition, Krampusnacht is the night before St. Nicholas Day, when the Christmas spirit gets a bit darker: while Santa handles the rewards, Krampus—his horned, goat-like counterpart—takes care of the naughty list.
Fronting the night is CJ Kringle, the stage name of Philadelphia performer Chuck Gill. He's spent years building a following playing Santa Claus, and this is the flip side of that. Over the years, he's appeared in children's theatre productions, ridden the festive holiday trains of New Hope and South Jersey, and shared the stage with Broadway stars at The Kimmel alongside The Philly Pops. He's also served as Grand Marshal of Cabela's Christmas Parade in Atlantic City, helped light Philadelphia's official Christmas Tree at City Hall, and hosts B101's nightly Santa Show. He's a fixture of the city's holiday season, and here he's stepping into the role of the season's more mischievous side.
