Rock and roll storytelling tribute to Led Zeppelin and The Lord of the Rings, with narration, costumes and visual projections.
Knorrwood brings Over the Hills & Far Away to the main stage at City Winery Philadelphia on Saturday, November 7. It's a rock and roll storytelling show that pairs the epic themes of The Lord of the Rings with Led Zeppelin's mystical ballads, and it doesn't stop there—the set also pulls from the band's own debut album, which came out in 2025. The whole thing is built around narration, costumes, and a theremin, with visual projections running throughout.
Knorrwood formed in 2021 and has spent the last few years sharing stages with acts like Trampled by Turtles, Leftover Salmon, Moe., and Consider the Source. This particular show is a tribute, but it's a cinematic one: the narration and costumes mean it's as much about the storytelling as it is about the music, and the projections bring the imagery of Middle-earth into the room while the Zeppelin ballads provide the soundtrack. The addition of the theremin adds another layer to the sound, and the inclusion of their own 2025 material means you'll hear their original work alongside the covers.
