Monthly session of the Free Library of Philadelphia's health programme on herbalism and herbal teas for physical and emotional well-being.
Introduction to Herbalism is coming to Richmond Library on Tuesday, October 27, at 5:30 PM. It's part of a monthly series run by the Free Library of Philadelphia, which usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month. This particular session was moved to the fourth Tuesday because of scheduling changes, so if you've been following the series, keep that shift in mind.
The series is built around herbalism and herbal teas, looked at as tools for both physical and emotional well-being. It's listed among the library's health programs for adults, and the focus stays on the practical side of thingsβhow herbs and teas can fit into your daily life rather than just the theory behind them. If you've ever wondered what actually goes into a cup of herbal tea or how different plants are used for different things, this is where you'll find the answers.
Because it's a monthly series, this session is one part of a larger conversation. The library keeps the focus on the intersection of health and nature, and this particular program sits right in the middle of that. It's an adult health program, so it's geared toward people who want to get a bit more familiar with the basics of herbalism.
