Stand-up show by New York comedian Ian Lara, who has Comedy Central and HBO specials, at Helium Comedy Club.
Ian Lara is playing Helium Comedy Club on Sunday, October 18, at 7 PM. He's a New York City comic who built his following online, where his Comedy Central Stand up Featuring special pulled in more than 10 million views, and a second Comedy Central set hit that same mark. In a single year, he appeared on the first season of NBC's Bring the Funny and made his late-night debut on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
He was a regular on Comedy Central's This Week at the Comedy Cellar, was featured in The New Yorker, and was named one of the 2021 JFL NEW FACES of comedy. His Comedy Central half-hour special, Growing Shame, debuted on February 10, 2022, followed by his first standalone HBO special, Ian Lara: Romantic Comedy, on November 11, 2022, which is now streaming on MAX. Variety named him one of its 2023 Comics to Watch, and he's been back on The Tonight Show twice since.
