Free outdoor Halloween movie night by the river at Borski Park, screening 'The Addams Family' and 'Night of the Living Dead'.
Robert A. Borski, Jr. Park is hosting a Halloween movie night on Saturday, October 17, starting at 6 PM. It's an outdoor screening along the river in Northeast Philadelphia, and the lineup is a double feature: The Addams Family and Night of the Living Dead. You've got the family-friendly weirdness of the Addamses followed by the black-and-white zombie classic, so it's a night that works whether you're bringing kids or just looking for some old-school horror.
The evening is put on by the Riverfront North Partnership and Friends of Borski Park. It follows the Bridesburg Community Partners Fall Fun Day at the Bridesburg Recreation Center, so if you're in the neighborhood for that, this is an easy way to keep the day going. Borski Park is part of Northeast Philadelphia's 11-mile Greenway, which the Riverfront North Partnership describes as the city's backyard and a green-space connection back to the Delaware River. The movies play outdoors right along the river, so you'll be watching with the water nearby.

Since it's an outdoor screening in mid-October, you'll want to come prepared. The organizers urge everyone to bring a chair, a blanket and warm layers, as it gets chilly once the sun goes down. If you're planning to stay for both films, those layers will be your best friend. The park is at 3101 Orthodox St., Philadelphia, PA 19137. Entry is free, though registration is encouraged. It kicks off at 6 PM on Saturday, October 17.
