Night of horror and indie short films with a filmmaker and horror enthusiast mixer, a costume contest and an after party.
Velvet Whip Arts & Social Club is hosting the Eraserhood Horror Ball on Wednesday, October 28, from 7 PM to 11:59 PM. For the night, the club transforms into a gathering for Philadelphia's independent horror and filmmaking community, and the program is built around that.
The evening starts with screenings of original indie horror short films. Between the films, there's a mixer for filmmakers and horror enthusiasts to hang out and talk shop, and a costume contest for anyone who came dressed up. Once the screenings and the contest wrap, the night carries on with an after party.

It's a pretty straightforward setup: horror shorts, a chance to meet the people making them, a costume contest, and a party to follow. If you're into indie horror or just want to spend a Wednesday night around people who are, it's a good spot to be. RSVP is required, so you'll want to get your name on the list before you head over. The whole thing runs from 7 PM until midnight at Velvet Whip Arts & Social Club in Philadelphia.
