Weekly Friday conversation group for intermediate and advanced English speakers, led by library volunteer Erica, to practice speaking in a casual setting.
Chestnut Hill Library hosts an English Conversation Group on Friday, October 23, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. It's a casual gathering for intermediate and advanced English speakers to practice speaking in a low-pressure environment, and it runs most Fridays, so if you can't make this one, there's another session on Friday, November 6.
The group is led by Erica, a library volunteer, and it's open to adults and seniors. The whole point is to build confidence speaking English while meeting other adults in the neighborhood, and since it's a casual learning setting, there's no formal lesson or test to worry aboutβjust people talking. It's a good fit if you've got the basics down but want a regular spot to get more comfortable with the flow of conversation.
One of the best things about it is that no registration is required to join. You don't have to sign up in advance or commit to a full course; you can just show up when you're free. If you're looking for a way to practice your English and meet some new people in the city, this is a low-stakes way to do it.
