Two-day intensive workshop on ecological landscape design led by Lee Armillei, open to the public with priority for certificate students.
Morris Arboretum & Gardens is hosting an intensive workshop on Ecological Landscape Design this fall, with the first session running Thursday, November 12, and Thursday, November 19, from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. It's led by Lee Armillei, principal and landscape designer at APLD, and it's open to the public, though priority registration goes to students already in the Arboretum's certificate program.
The workshop is part of the Morris Arboretum & Gardens' Certificate in Ecological Horticulture, a classroom- and field-based program of ten core courses and two electives. It's aimed at home gardeners and landscape professionals who want a deeper understanding of sustainable landscape design and management. The certificate is self-paced, so you can knock it out in a single year of intensive study or spread it over several years at a slower pace. This workshop counts toward that certificate, and it's been submitted to carry 10 CEUs with LA CES, ISA, PLNA, and the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts.

If you're not in the certificate program, you can still take the workshop on its own. The sessions run from 10 AM to 3:30 PM on Thursdays, November 12 and 19, at the Welcome Center in Philadelphia. Members pay $250 and non-members $260.
