A family-friendly fall festival with 80+ craft vendors, trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, costume contests, live music, and food and drinks.
East Passyunk Fall Fest returns to East Passyunk Avenue on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 11 AM to 4 PM. It's the family-friendly closing act of the Avenue's fall festival season, and it takes over the street between Morris and Dickinson in South Philly, which closes to traffic for the day. More than 80 craft vendors line the block, so there's plenty to browse.
The craft market is the main draw, but the day is built around family activities. There's pumpkin carving and costume contests for kids and dogs, with live music and food and drinks running throughout. It's the kind of afternoon where you can wander the stalls and let the kids run around without having to keep them on a short leash.
Running alongside the festival is the Creepy Crawl: participating East Passyunk businesses hand out candy, and families hunt for spiders and other critters in shop windows to find the trick-or-treating stops. It turns the whole neighborhood into a scavenger hunt, so you'll be popping in and out of storefronts rather than just sticking to the street. The Avenue is also home to the 17th annual Witch Craft Crawl, a bar and business crawl that takes in more than 30 establishments—a more adult-oriented way to spend the day if that's your speed.
