Weekly chess club for adults to meet and play chess at the Donatucci Library.
Donatucci Chess Club! is back at the Thomas F. Donatucci, Sr. Library on Monday, October 26, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM. It's a chess club for adults, and the whole point is pretty simple: meet other people and play chess together. If you've been looking for a regular spot to get a few games in without having to hunt for a partner, this is it.
It's an open-table setup, so you can just show up and find a board. Whether you're a seasoned player who knows their way around a Sicilian Defense or someone who just learned how the pieces move and wants to play a few casual games, you'll fit in. The focus is on playing and meeting other adults in the neighborhood, so you don't need to be tournament-ready to join in.
Since it runs for two and a half hours, you've got plenty of time to work through a few matches and still have room to hang out and talk. If you're coming from work or just spending the afternoon in the city, it's an easy way to spend a Monday evening.
