Donatucci Chess Club!

Donatucci Chess Club! is back at the Thomas F. Donatucci, Sr. Library on Monday, October 19, for its weekly adult session. It's a chess club for adults, open to anyone who wants to meet other people and play a few games. If you've been looking for a regular spot to get some games in without having to hunt for a partner, this is it.

The club runs every Monday from 4 PM to 6:30 PM, so you can drop in for a single game or hang out for a few hours. The next session is Monday, October 19, starting at 4 PM. Since it's a recurring thing, you don't have to commit to every single week—you can just show up when your schedule allows.

It's an open format, so you'll find a mix of people there. Whether you're a seasoned player looking for a challenge or someone who knows the basics and wants to get more practice, there's a spot for you. The whole point is to meet others and play, so it's as much about the people as it is about the board. If you've been playing on your own or online and want to get some over-the-board games in with actual people, this is a good way to do it.

The library is at 1935 West Shunk Street, at the corner of 20th and Shunk Streets in Philadelphia, PA 19145. It's free to attend, and since it runs every Monday from 4 PM to 6:30 PM, you can make it a regular part of your week or just stop by when you're in the neighborhood.
